    The Sting!

Amazing Spider-Man has had a really good run the last couple months with the Gauntlet and with last week's amazing issue I wasn't necessarily looking for this to match it in terms of action and overall effect.  This issue is well written and drawn in the sense that it basically goes in the opposite direction as last week's.  We stop a catch a breather and see what's going on with the whole Peter/Michelle situation, which is a change of pace that was needed for this issue.  Basically Peter walks into his apartment and Michele is sitting at the kitchen table with a big guy who makes Peter's spider-sense (no pun intended) go crazy.  The rest of the issue revolves around this Peter tracking this guy who he thinks is Michele's new boyfriend.

    The Good
The overall character interaction between all the characters, particularly between Peter and Michele.  A conflict seems to have seemingly been resolved, or at least on it's way to being.

    The Bad (timing)
Like I said, coming off of Amazing Spider-Man 625, little could top that issue in a week, which doesn't mean that this is a bad issue, it's just bad timing.   While it was written very well I couldn't give it an equal rating to last week's story

    The Weird
Sometimes the pencil lines are a little too dark which kind of made the art seem a little out of place.  There was a character who I didn't recognize until they told me who it was.  Also there are ome cenes where the panel is all one color, and sometimes it fit and sometimes I didn't really understand why.

Great Spidey Comic for a Lapsed Reader 0

Now, I haven't read any Spider-man since One More Day. Not really as a political protest or any form of special hiatus, just didn't really get around to it. It happens. Anyway, I picked this up on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I quickly got a decent idea of what had been going on and openly accepted new characters and new takes on old characters without any qualms. The first thing that struck me about this issue, however, is the GORGEOUS artwork. In my humble opinion, Michael Gaydos (whom...

      AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #626 0

This issue is written by Fred Van Lente and drawn by Michael Gaydos. Gaydos is new to me, but i kind of enjoyed his art in this comic. His art has similarities to Alex Maleev, who by the way is a fantastic artist. This issue starts out with Peter entering his apartment he shares with Michele Gonzales and meets a shady character that Michele is assoaciated with. Micheles friend causes Peters spidey sense to go off so when the guy leaves Peter, as Spider-Man, tails him. And Spidey following Michel...
