    AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #618 1

In this issue we finally see the return of Mysterio! I know Mysterio has always been on the receiving end of jokes because of the fish bowl, but honestly i have always loved this villian. So i was really glad to see him return. I wonder if its really Quentin Beck? I really hope so. But enough about what i think, lets get to the review. In this issue we see how the Maggia has fallen on tough times with all their members getting killed off by Mr.Negative and his inner-demons. But looks can be dece...

Best Spidey i've read in YEARS 0

Inj fact other than issue 600 this is the first new Spider Man i gotten and read in at least 10 years.  It was the cool cover that me to look.  Once i opened up and saw the art of Marcous Martain i didnt care if it had a crappy story. But it isn't crappy in fact it is very good ...   And i have picked the new issues as well (now at 620) and have enjoyed tham just as much....

This issue was very, very OK.   I was taken aback by Mysterios appearance as I was under the he impression he had died.  I enjoyed the conflicts between Spidey and the Gangs, I feel it shows us more Peter and less Spidey, which I found a welcome change in The Gauntlet. Mr Negative is fairly downplayed, more of a nuisance than a real villain, but the whole 'puppet master' thing Mysterio displays creates a spooky atmosphere,    It took me a while to get used to the new art style but I sort of like...

    For My Next Trick 0

THE BASICSThe Maggia and Mister Negative's Inner Demons aren't getting along very well, so you know Spidey's going to be caught up somewhere in the middle. Things promise to get even more interesting when everyone's favorite evil fishbowl (though I don't imagine the competition there is very fierce) joins in the fray.MY COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEFThere's a whole lot going on in this issue, but nothing ever gets cluttered. We get some great action, some interesting exposition, and plenty of hilarious...

    Amazing Spider-Man #618 0

Continuing The Gauntlet saga, this issue marks the return of Mysterio, someone who's more than often on the receiving end of the joke. Then again, so was the Rhino, and look at the previous issue. And much like Rhino, if one dig through the history of fishbowl-head, you could find some pretty impressive stories that display Quentin's prowess as a villain. There was that one time when he was disguised as a psychiatrist, Dr. Rinehart, in the classic ASM #24, "Spider-Man Goes Mad!", where he literal...
