Major points to Pulido for his artwork here; his style works great with Sandman and it was a joy to look at. While I'm at it, I'd like to give mention to Rivera as well for two awesome covers (referring to this and the previous issue). There's great imagery all over this comic.

Story-wise, we get the payoff of all of the previous issue's setup here, and what great payoff it is. As you can see from the cover, Marko's learned to spread his consciousness across multiple copies of himself. It leads to a lot of great moments that I don't want to spoil here, but I can say that we get a great look at Marko and what makes him tick. This issue really ups my opinion of Sandman.

There's quite a few funny moments in this issue as well, such as Spidey's comment on "darker, grittier, more morally ambiguous" superheros. There's also quite a few less-than-cheery moments as well. There's no happy ending here. It's a good ending, though.

This was a great issue and totally worth the setup heavy lead-in.

Villains reinvented in a soft reboot of sorts can be a hit-or-miss, and having a "Villain of the Week" fighting Spidey isn't exactly a novel concept either. But I like what they are going here, marrying Spidey's rogue gallery with very relatable and ambitious storytelling. In this issue, we see the conclusion to the two-part Sandman spotlight. Like Electro, Sandman gets an upgrade for his powers, being able to create and control mult...

"Keemias Castle" conclusion. The beginning of this issue we see that the Sandman has made multiple selves of his self. He and Spider-man go at it and Sandman gets the upper hand. Spidey wakes up after the beating he received in shackles, and facing the little girl sandy kidnapped and calls his daughter. Spidey talks Keemia(sandmans so-called daughter) into helping him get free. She agrees to do this as long as spidey will leave her and her "daddy" alone. Spidey agrees but doesn't keep his promis...
