Peter wakes from a dream of spiders pouring out of Mary Jane's mouth. Ezekiel calls him about thousands of spiders swarming the city. J. Jonah Jameson blames Spider-Man for them. Mary Jane auditions for an acting role. when a spider-covered SUV crashes through the wall. Spider-Man rescues her, then reconvenes with Ezekiel, who says he warned him. The Gatekeeper attacks Spidey who hallucinates his origin,and high school years as the Gatekeeper tells him he was chosen because he was a hunter.without teeth preyed upon by his classmates, instilling a rage in him upon which he could not act. The Gatekeeper then shows him the truth behind Ezekiel. Spidey wakes up in Peru with Ezekiel standing over him ready to attack.
