How powerful is Thanos without the IG? What can He do?

How powerful is he WITH the Infinity Gauntlet? What can he do?

Sorry if I sound like a noob. I just don't know how powerful Thanos is.

He can kill dudes

With the gauntlet he's basically the most powerful being in the universe. Without it he can take on and probably beat any team of earth type heroes like the Avengers, X-Men, or anyone like that.

Without the gauntlet he's pretty versatile. Optic blasts, super strength, insane durability, longevity, energy projection, genius level intelect, enhanced reaction time, and he also celestial tech at his disposal meaning he has teleportation and shielding.

With the infinity gauntlet he was almost unrivalled in power. It took The living Tribunal ( second most powerful being in all of Marvel) to basically stop him.

Basically Thanos doesn't play games.
