The X-men luckily intervened and brought Kitty back home safe and sounds. While Terri had been fearing for Kitty's life and ran into her arms when she saw her daughter again, her husband Carmen was furious at Xavier, thinking the kidnapping was because of the X-men. Angered, he told Xavier that they would never trust their daughter to him. Suddenly however, Carmen became very friendly and spoke full of praise about Xavier's offer to let Kitty study at his school. It turned out that the X-man Phoenix deleted the whole kidnapping from Terri and Carmen's minds and replaced it with the good thoughts about their initial meeting before the kidnapping occurred. Kitty was then enrolled with Xavier's and became the newest and youngest X-men.

    Divorce

Due to marriage problems, mostly because of Carmens's problems with a foreign mob, Terri and Carmen eventually divorced.

While Terri went on with her own life, Carmen started working on the mutant island of Genoshia. Unfortunately, he was also there during the Sentinel Attacks on the island. It seemed that Carmen had died on the island. Terri and Kitty have found strength in each-other to deal with this loss, but Terri has not been since much since.

    Wedding Preparations for her daughter

Terri was there when her daughter Kitty was about to tie the knot with her long standing lover Collossus. As such, she helped her daughter with the preparations of the wedding and her wedding-dress. During this time, Kitty told Terri how much she and teammate Storm meant to her and how happy she was to have them in her life. Terri's reaction to the cancellation of the wedding was not seen on panel, but it can be assumed that she was sad but supported her daughter in her decission.

    X-men Evolution

It was a sleepy night when Kitty dreamed of falling down from a building not knowing that she is falling by their house's ground floor. Terry and Carmen rose up to know what happened. When they looked at Kitty, she seems to be alright but frightened. When Carmen looked upstairs, he saw Kitty's blanket partially hanging in the ceiling after being phased by her mutant powers accidentally.
