Ten Rings is a criminal organization of Marvel Comics.
Creation
Ten Rings was created specifically for the 2008 live action motion picture, Iron Man, and continued to appear in later Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
The name of organization was inspired by the Mandarins Rings.
Other Versions
Ten Ring's first standard comic appearance outside of film was in Ironheart #2 and has no connections with the Mandarin.

The film reveals about the true organization Ten Rings, founded by Xu Wenwu, which rejects the Mandarin name. Like the Si-Fan's Marvel retelling, Ten Rings bear resemblances to a ninja clan and Triads, Death Dealer's design looked like a ninja in a Chinese opera mask.
