I really wanted to love this. I thought the idea of a Year One for the Teen Titans made sense and seemed like a great way to show how the team formed and develop the bonds between the characters in a fun and colorful way. Sadly this comic fails in about everyway imaginable. Not only did it get off on the wrong foot with me, but it continued to disapoint me even after it had won back some of my trust. This Year One series was terribly rushed. The bonds between the characters arent fleshed out at all and you dont really see much team work at all between the characters. Everything is undercooked from the villain to the character to even what the main purpose of the story was. A Year One has the opportunity to define the origin story and be the basic template for years to come, but this Year One is mostly forgetable and seemed more like a cash grab or something. When I got Teen Titans Year One I thought this would be a story that humabised the characters and showed the team working tovgether for the first time and working out the kinks. It instead feels like it is just trying to fill up as much of the page with random ideas and just make it through the 6 issues with as little effort as possible. This might be one of the worst origin stories ever and the ending is absolutely horrible. I would not recommend reading Teen Titans Year One.

A Disappointing End 0
Amazing is the only word I could use to describe every other issue of this series. I loved it. More than I've ever loved the Teen Titans ever! Kid-Flash's cockiness, Aqualad's timidness, Wonder Girl's girly-ness (I genuinely mean that!) and Robin's leadership was amazing. I feel bad Wolfram had such little time on this. I think she really could have done with at least another 3 or 4 issues or maybe even an ongoing series! But sadly that didn't happen and this is where it ended. I was devastated ...
