Speedy and WonderGirl go on a date. And you know what? It was awesome. I try hard to stay away from the lovey dovey stuff, I'm not a 13 year old girl with a crush on Billy, who sits next to me in Science class, but this year one run has been great and this issue was probably the funniest of the lot. It brings me back two decades when Speedy does things like call Wonder Girl a "stupid girl". Great funny stuff, I laughed out loud on this one. Or as you crazy kids call it, I lol(ed). The main story of this otherwise fumbled ball of a comic book, is actually a story that could have been pretty darn good. Sadly enough it is buried underneath art that does not know if it wants to be regular art or to follow the animated series. Granted I believe that were this a straight forward story of the troubles of teen love in a superhero world. I think it would have been just a touch better than it had turned out. Speedy definitely cares about that car.This is ok, again. Nothing I really cared about. The turtle part was kinda funny. How do they have electricity there if Batman just learned about the hideout?Also, I noticed that that the chop shop has a Joker car of something in the background....

Best word to describe this issue! I really liked it. Like every other so far in this series. It's just been another great issue. I used not to like Wonder Girl. Thank you Amy Wolfram for changing that! This is a cute example of where a teenage superhero date can go wrong. And Wolfram is so good with teenage emotions. Speedy's reaction to the nights events is great at the end. Cruel. But great. And I was heartbroken for Wonder Girl. If this series lasted longer than it did, I'd have loved to see ...
