Plot: Meet the New Teen Titans. Intro: This was the book that made me a TT fan. I was brought into comics through the Teen Titans cartoon, but this was the first Teen Titans comic(Actually a trade) I ever read. The Good. The series introduces you to all of the characters and they all have distinct personalities. Bart is the nice guy trying to live up to his family legacy, Tim is the semi-socially awkward smart kid, Connor is some what rebelious and wants to pave his own path, and Cassie is a bit of an outsider but also a good friend who is unsure whether or not she's worthy of calling herself Wondergirl. They're all unique, and realistic they're not angsty just teenagers with superpowers. Mike McKone delivers some great art here, filled with energy and is able to portray each character different from the next. It's not just the same face with difference hair colors they all have distinct looks. While the villain(Jericho) isn't exactly the best villain(I really am not a huge fan of the character tbh), he works here. Geoff puts a new twist on Superboy's origin and boy was it cool. The way Starfire is portrayed here is great. She's actually a great depiction of a strong female character(as opposed to the version in RHATO). She's compassionate, smart, strong, and a great leader. The Bad. None. Overall. This made me a Teen Titans fan, when I read this I was hooked. No matter how poorly the Teen Titans are being written right now, whether I' m reading them or not, the Titans always will have a special place in my heart for getting me into comics. So I thought this would be the perfect book for me to review for my 100th review! To 100 more! Titans Together! 5/5
