Does It Always Have to Be Demons? 2

With new team member Solstice in tow, the Teen Titans look to familiarize themselves with a whole new set of demonic forces that for once have nothing to do with Raven and her daddy Trigon. Can they brush up on their Indian mythology enough in time to rescue Wonder Girl and Solstice’s parents though? The Good A lot of fast paced action throughout the comic helps set up some ominous undertones revolving around these new foes of the Teen Titans. Couple this with some good internal monologues fro...

    Viradha? 1

The Good: I'm becoming more accustomed to Nicola Scott's art. Either the faces have improved, or I just notice them less.Krul continues to do a great job of showing us the mental processes and struggles of ALL the Titans equally. Red Robin struggling with nagging insecurities of his leadership abilities that don't seem to hinder him so much that it would be annoying, and Beast Boy and Raven's struggles over their feelings for each other particularly stood out for me.In general I think Krul does ...

I know you got a thing for quality, but i'm a quantity guy myself 0

The life of a Teen Titan is a hard one, especially if you’re their parents. I mean lets look at the  Teen Titans #94 list. Most of them are either dead, living in the future, mercenaries, demons or are arch enemies due to the fact that their child was the amalgamation of their DNA in a secret research lab. So with Cassi, aka Wonder Girl, who’s mother is perfectly alive, living in the present, not a gun for hire, not a demon and hasn’t given her DNA for cloning something has to happen to he...

Who is truly the leader of the Teen Titans? 1

Cover Not a big fan of the art for the cover. It is the same as the art in the issue. For some reason I am just not a big fan of it. Story Wonder Girl has been taken and the Teen Titans go to the demon world to try to find her. On the way Ravager and Red Robin get caught by the leader of the demons. Best Part I like that this story arc is really centers around who is really best for to be leader of the Teen Titans. Wonder Girl knows that she needs to step down and Red Robin does not kn...

Indian Demons must really like "Return of the Jedi". 0

Issue #94 of Teen Titans.   The Story: The team goes to the Demon plane to get Cassandra and her mom but Tim gets captured also and Ravager gets replaced by a demon.   The Good: Each character gets a little moment in this issue and Krul manages an ensemble cast very well. This demon world seems interesting and I would love seeing it used more since as Solstice points out those Americans only know about Greek mythologie.Still loving Nicola Scott's art.   The Bad: We still get some stuff between Ra...

    Behold: Big Ugly Demon! 1

The goodScotts art is the first thing to come to mind, because of the cover, but i personally prefer Scott to most of DC's current artists. Lines are clear, body proportions are just right and none of it looks like a two dimensional, actually i am wondering if we cant have 3D glasses it this? The story is still in the good section, for one it's original for a DC comic book to break out of western mythology and into the multi-armed creature that is Hindu-lore, despite i am fearing that Krul might...

    Introducing Hindu mythology! 0

Synopsis:The Teen Titans travel to the Demon Kingdom to search for Wonder Girl (and her mother and Solstice's parents). What's Good? Now, I don't have a huge knowledge of Hindu mythology other than Shiva, Surya, Vayu, and Soma, but I'm liking the story setup so far. I'm curious to see any other deities from Hindu mythology. Again, characterization is the key to this issue as well with some of the Titans having their own inner monologue in the issue. The one thing I admire about Teen Titans is how...
