Teen Titans #79 - Static returns home.
The Blackest Night tie-ins are done and over with, and now were back to the Teen Titans dealing with other problems than heroes and villas returning from the grave. Now the Team must deal with going back home, or at least in Statics case. Going back to the post-terror titans issue Static decided to stay in San Fransisco with the team instead of going back home to Dekota just to recover from what he, and many others, had to go through. But as well as overcoming his terror titan issues Static must now go back to a life of a dual identity, keeping his identity as Static and a titan seacret from his parents, sister and other associates of Virgil. But how can he try and explain the reason for why he dissapeared to all of these people without revealing his secret identity. Not to mention a new virus has struck Dekota, killing 30 so far, and the vaccine for this virus is in short supply, and given to children, and lotteried of to adults. Riots start comming rising in the city for the vaccine, and Statics return is a joyous occasion for the people as he stops the riots. But questions about the virus and vaccine start coming up in Virgils head, and as he discovers the secret behind the two he's taken out by Holocaust.
The issue mostly deals with Virgil going home and all thats been said in the above, but Teen Titans #79 is also the issue where we see Wondergirl starting to finaly mature into her role as team leader, and after a speech that both me and Bombshell agree on, decides to go to Dekota as morel support for Virgil. But in the next issue they'll probably end up being his reinforcments than his moral support.
The Ravenger second feature also returns in this issue with chapter 6, but the title "Ravenger Slave girl" was indeed missleading, as it probably refers to Wills ambitions for her rather than what happens. But needless to say Ravenger is not someone who can easilyt be taken down, as Will said himself she took out 2 of his squads, survived under ice cold water for a long period of time, and even survived a beeting from him. So as our hero escapes her binds she's determined to catch Will. But lets just say that this story will continue next issue.
Also as an added bonus theres only 2 pages of adds in this issue, so more story and less DVD/Story advertisment.
