SummaryThe Teen Titans finally rally to take down Superboy, a representative of N.O.W.H.E.R.E – the anti-meta organization which has been targeting teens with superpowers. Can this group of teen’s work as a team to take down Superboy or will their lack of cohesion spell their doom? What I liked· Worthwhile build up: We have been told since issue #1 that there is going to be an encounter with Superboy, and the wait is somewhat worth it. This is not a fight that is frittered away in half and issue,...

Superboy is taking action against The Teen Titans. There’s a lot action in this book. Superboy single handed defeats The Teen Titans. However Superboy is taking a new direction against N.O.W.H.E.R.E. Solstice warns Superboy about the culling and how it is coming. The great spirit release is at hand. Superboy sees that Solstice is telling the truth. This is changing everything that Superboy stands for now. He doesn’t want to do any more damage, however if must know the truth. Mr. Templar, the mai...

    Terror Titans 2

Scott Lobdell has been writing Superboy and Teen Titans to where you almost need to read them both. Now that we know a little bit about what is going on here, how does this fight and N.O.W.H.E.R.E. play out?  THE GOOD: I really like the art. I think that it gives the characters personality and habits they may do while in battle. It's simple things like these that make me feel that the characters are very real and have quirks about them. The art is probably my favorite thing about this issue. I r...

Well, that could have gone better. 0

Synopsis: The Teen Titans take on Superboy. What's Good?I haven't been keeping up with the Superboy series, but I like his characterization throughout this issue. He has a very cocky attitude when dealing with the Titans. Speaking of characterization, Scott Lobdell provides a great example of how despite the group finally together (minus Skitter), they don't work well as a team. Despite being trained by The Dark Knight himself, Tim still have issues to work with his teammates. They're not trained...

    Too Predictable 0

Teen Titans was a series that started off with a lot of promise and quickly caught my interest. Unfortunately these last two issues have felt like a step backwards for me. I'm beginning to lose the interest I once had. It's not as if this series has simply gotten awful, it just doesn't have that special x-factor that makes it stand out. Nothing really pulls you in and demands your immediate attention. Right now it's simply meandering along with a rather dull storyline I find myself not really ca...

    Teen Titans V.S Superboy! 0

After a few months we finally manage to see the team together as the young heroes face off against superboy. And oh boy is it awesome! The issue starts with the teen titans finally together as Red Robin who knows that if a guy can beat up wonder girl then he must be really powerful so he decides to take command of the group like the leader he is. But things don’t go well when Superboy starts using his tactile telekinesis and Kid Flash decides to be all cool and fights superboy alone. Seems like t...

A brilliant array of Abilities 0

This comic brilliantly shows off the combat abilities of all the teen characters; Superboy, Kid Flash, Solstice, Bunker, Wonder Girl and Red Robin. The battle demonstrates not only their powers; explaining Bunker's bricks, Superboy's tactile telekinesis (Still, it is less confusing if you are familiar with that part of Superboy's history) and Red Robin's skills, with he alone nearly defeating the cloned Kryptonian-Human hybrid, it also shows off the characters personalities and how it affects th...

Comic Review -- Teen Titans #5: Over Before It's Begun / Scott Lo 0

Originally posted on my blog, The Comics Cove, not too long ago...I think the main reason I enjoy this cover is because Bart is featured wearing the red iteration of the Robin costume while running roughshod around Superboy. I also like some of the faces he's making while he does it. Amusing, without being too obnoxious. The Titans take on Superboy... and it doesn't go so well. Kid Flash gets super-charged on his speed, faster than his body can tolerate, before Wonder Girl kicks him loose. Bunker...
