    Now We're Talkin'

*Minor Spoilers to follow* Let me start off by saying that this issue was the best of the run so far. There was one factor I believe that really helped it achieve that level, and that was Raven. Before this issue, we'd only seen very small glimpses of Raven, and I think she only had a few lines over the two issues as well. This issue focused more on her than the other characters, and I was sure glad to see that. I'm kind of rambling now, so let me get to the review. StoryThis issue was Blinded by the Light pt. 3, and it seems as though the story is just getting started. We learned last issue that Manchester Black is the one that is really behind everything involving Algorithm and the Titans. After being blown to bits in the last issue by Bunker, Algorithm has rebuilt her self and is after Raven this time. The bulk of the story was pretty strong, focusing on Algorithm's attack on Raven and her plan to lure the other Titans in as well. We also got a few side stories, like Cassie's mom and the return of the Wonder Girl Gang. Generally, I'd say there wasn't much to complain about here from a story standpoint. ArtRocafort's art was awesome as usual. He's my favorite artist at the moment, and they really let him go wild on these Titan books. Not much to say here, Great art is great. VillainAlgorithm is still the villain we're dealing with, and she just won't be put down. Manchester only made a brief appearance in this issue, but it was notable to set up future plot points. She got another new look in this issue, but maybe that's just because she wasn't wearing a hood. She's very interesting looking that's for sure, but I think it's pretty badass. She also knows who Red Robin is :o But Manchester probably figured that one out. Team DevelopmentI liked the team chemistry in this issue, and how their individual personalities are able to stick out. Tim is a bit quiet, and focuses primarily on finding answers. Cassie is basically just a teenage girl. She doesn't take anything too seriously. Bunker is a bit cocky and trigger happy. Beast Boy is young and comical. Raven is mysterious. I like the relationship that Pfieffer is building between Bunker & Gar. The personalities of those two go very well together, and it makes for a very lighthearted side of the team. All-in-all, I think the chemistry is being developed very well, and I'm so far pleased. That's about all I have to say. I really enjoyed the issue, and I'm looking forward to next month. If you didn't like the first New-52 Titans run, I'd recommend picking this one up. It's much better.

Reviewers background:So I have been keeping pretty quiet on the review fronts since sometime in the early days of the previous creative team, since I just couldn't bring myself to throw any more bile at it. So you can imagine I was pretty chuffed to hear of a new creative team relaunching the book. I had some concerns when I found out who it was though; a writer thats pretty loathed by other Wonder Woman fans for his (in my oppinion) kick-ass work on Amazons Attack and an artist I'd rather avoid...
