Teen Titans #15
Brett Booth is back and brings the book back to the standards we started with. His art looks very modern and that is something need for a young team book. There are details everywhere that creates a much larger world and really makes the atmosphere real. The best part is his style. It is very edgy and makes everything seem much more hip. The story is actually very deep and really makes the team seem a little more interesting. Red Robin has been kidnapped and this leads the Teen Titans to try to find him with the help of Batgirl. Wonder Girl and her have a conversation that really grounds Cassie who has been portrayed rather poorly in this series so far. Kid Flash is really fun in this issue and what he unintentionally does will no doubt have major ramifications fro all the characters. The Joker is also very horrifying in this and really makes all the character have to be on their best.
THE BAD:
The dialog is just horrible in this issue. Batgirl says one of the worst lines I have ever seen in a comic book. The Joker also has some down right awful dialog. Fabian Nicieza has done some great work, but this is not some of it.
THE VERDICT: 4/5 (Great)
Teen Titans has become a much stronger series. It's not what it could be at and with the drastic changes that have been made, it may take a while to get there, but every issue provides tons of fun and characters you can't help but like and dislike. If you want a book with young teenagers, this is one of the few from DC Comics still remaining and it isn't half bad. If you like any of the characters, look around to see the changes that have been made and then jump on if you're okay with them.
