krspacet's Teen Titans #1 - Teen Spirit review

    An excellent revamp

The Teen Titans that used the characters Tim Drake, Cassandra Sandsmark, Bart Allan and Solstice, at its end, overextended itself. It could not capture the older styles. Too many characters died and too many changed in and out too fast. It could not recreate the powerful foes that cursed the best Titans; Trigon, Deathstroke, Terra (Number 1)

There are hints that the first Teen Titans, in some form, did exist (See Red Hood Outlaws #6)

But with the New 52, the baggage can be cleaned out. They know which characters worked, and can replace them where necessary. It continued the New 52's themes about mistrusted heroes, connects to Superboy, and leaves space open for future members aside for the seven on the cover. After all, pics of Static, Raven, Beast Boy and Miss Martian did appear in the news montage (and Starfire, but she's a bit old)

Where is he in the New 52?

However, I do have this to complain about......I WANT WALLY WEST. Also, the Wonder Girl armor, at the start....sucks. But it does get better.....if someone attacks it enough.

They seem to be a lot of mistrust with them, despite them trying to do what's right. A group that seem to have it the worst, are metahuman/non-powered teenagers. Keep those facts in mind, and this makes this new version of Teen Titans worth to invest some time in.Tim Drake is still the ideal leader for a group of teenagers due to his...

I am quite the fan of Tim Drake. Ever since he was the third Robin and then became Red Robin, I've been following him. I read every issue of his Robin series and every issue of his Red Robin series. To say the least, I'm devoted. So, that was the sole reason for me to pick up Teen Titans #1 seeing as it was basically the primary vehicle for my Tim Drake fix.Originally, I wasn't too much of a fan of Brett Booth's art. To me, it was a little too mid-90s nostalgia for me. After reading the comic, th...
