Origin
Teddy Scare was a normal looking teddy bear that belonged to a young boy, Eddie. However, when provoked or when his owner was in trouble, Teddy could transform into a hulking, feral, animated bear. Though he generally protected Eddie, he wasn't averse to turning on him if Eddie angered him, such as the time Eddie accidentally sat on him.
Creation
Teddy Scare first appeared in Monster Fun, and was normally illustrated by artist Barrie Appleby.
Character Development
After debuting in later issues of Monster Fun, Teddy Scare was one of the characters who survived that comics' demise and merger with Buster. He continued to appear in his new home for just over a year.
