He was exposed to an experimental substance called the Gen-Factor which gave him powerful psionic abilities. In the New 52 DC Universe, Lynch is again the head of Team 7, which he manipulates for his own means.
Originally, Eclipso was the first incarnation of the Spirit of Wrath who went rogue. Sealed inside the Heart of Darkness, he could posses those that came into contact with it, most famously Bruce Gordon. In the New 52, Eclipso is said to be Lord Kaala, the evil offspring from House Onyx and House Diamond born during an eclipse granting him vast powers and eventually becoming the tyrant of Gemworld.

Fairchild was the unofficial leader of the popular Wildstorm super-team known as Gen¹³. The team's smartest and strongest member, she was also the half-sister of her teammate Freefall. Fairchild has recently been incorporated into the mainstream DC Universe.
Colonel Steve Trevor is a military officer who is the original love interest of Wonder Woman and the very first man she has laid eyes on. In various incarnations, his status in the military has gone from being in the Army Air Corps, to being an Air Force pilot, to the current incarnation of being a Navy SEAL. He is now a U.S. Government Agent and head of A.R.G.U.S.. He was also co-leader and a member of the Justice League of America.

Originally, after Eclipso killed his cousin Yolanda Montez, the second Wildcat, Alex gathered 1000 black diamonds in order to destroy Eclipso. Post-Flashpoint, Alex is an Arkham research scientist who becomes corrupted as the host of Eclipso.
He is an invulnerable cyborg with superhuman strength who uses his Kryptonite power source against Superman, therefore, making him a dangerous foe.
Brainiac is one of Superman's oldest and most powerful foes. A techno-organic being with a twelfth-level intellect and hyper-advanced technology, he travels the multiverse seeking civilizations to shrink and abduct, which he then adds to his collection of captured worlds. He has been responsible for the extinction of countless cultures and the deaths of untold billions.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
