     The Death of Taren
     The Death of Taren
    Taren a six inch alien and was the lover of Princess Laethwen.  Taren was also the leader of the rebels set to overthrow her father, Caellich.  It is this relationship that causes him to be blinded by the Kings adviser Deraegis. Knowing that he will out his fellow tribesmen at risk by being blind.  He commits suicide by jumping into a swarm of ants.  Before he does this however he befriends Atom and make Atom the new leader of his rebels.
