    les chevaliers du ciel Tanguy et Laverdure Two inseparable friends, fresh from the school of the air, appeared in PILOTE from its first issue in 1959. They were the future commanders Michel Tanguy and Ernest Laverdure. As much as the first is courageous and serious, the second is eccentric, boastful and inclined to play the pretty heart. Yet, despite his many blunders, Laverdure is a solid teammate for Tanguy who often finds himself in difficult situations.

    French series.

    Adventure and espionage are the daily lot of the two heroes who, on land as at the controls of their plane, show flawless patriotism. Created in 1959, Tanguy and Laverdure know 4 successive designers: Uderzo, Jijé, Patrice Serres and Coutelis. But the real spiritual father of the series remains Charlier who provided all the scenarios with his skillful pen. Note that this series has had a second life on the screen with the series entitled Les Chevaliers du Ciel.

    Most of the albums were published by Dargaud except:

    • 20, 24, 25 published by Novedi
    • 21, 22, 23 published by Hachette
