Taaru the Terrible was a man that became a ruler of a small village in a mountainous region of China after he possessed the ancient Talismans of Power. Valkyrie came across the village as she wandered across the Earth and was attacked by several elemental creatures. She was eventually overwhelmed when a water elemental almost drowned her and a wind elemental slammed her into the mountain side. Valkyrie was held captive in the dungeons with other slaves until Taaru summoned her. Taaru told Valkyrie that he owned her as well as her mighty sword, Dragonfang. Valkyrie was not intimidated and leaped through Taaru's water elemental to retrieve her sword. Valkyrie quickly dispatched the elemental warriors and snatched the Talismans of Powers from Taaru's neck. Valkyrie then smashed the amulets and tossed Taaru into the dungeon where he would meet his end by the slaves he once held captive.
Creation
Taaru the Terrible was created by
Mariano Nicieza and
Pino Rinaldi in 1994 and made his only appearance in
Marvel Comics Presents # 168.
Abilities
Taaru possessed the Talismans of Powers that allowed him to create and control elemental warriors.
