    Synopsis

The story of Calbraith A.H. Rodgers and the dire warning he brings to Alec Holland . Meanwhile Sethe's forces are mobilising!

    The Good

The main bulk of the issue kicks off with a message from a certain A.H. Rodgers, concerning the imminent danger that The Rot (introduced last issue!) will present to the Parliament of Trees and to Holland. You make think that a mere conversation stretching over half the issue sounds dull, but Scott Snyder knows how to pull it off! He alongside the important issue of a flashback and several "dream states" manages to cleverly blend the mythos built up by previous writers and his own ideas to easily lay down the foundations of informations that readers new and old want to know about the mantle of Swamp Thing, and of Alec Holland's and the Rot relation to that.

You may think this issue is all talk by the sounds of things, but the latter half of the issue notches the action back up again! Through the pacing you can really feel the relentlessness of the chase scene. It's something ripped out of a great pulse-pounding action flick! I'm not even going to mention the cliffhanger, it's great. :

Yanick Paquette's art as per last issue really shines again! From the natural details of Swamp Thing's form to the psycadelic dream sequences to the crazy action scene really make this series a joy to read!

    The Bad

    Anything bad? Don't be silly.

    Conclusion

A worthy second issue to a superb first, just buy it. :)

      Swamp Thing 1, Swamp Thing 2 0

DC Comics the New 52 is now at Issue #2, and Swamp Thing #1 was amazing. This week, Scott Snyder tries to pull of the magic again. Does it work as well as the last issue did?  THE GOOD: I love the art. I also like who the comic book panels are separated but branches. I like the story because we get an origin of another Swamp Thing. I really think this issue is going to be important to readers new and old. This explains that Alec Holland was a bit confused and cloned. I really like this issue bec...

      The Parliament's Plea 0

The Parliament of Trees makes a desperate plea for Alec Holland to embrace his destiny. With the fate of the world at stake, what will the reluctant, would be messiah do?The GoodPaquette's art on this book is absolutely gorgeous. The panel borders, the layouts, the figures, the character acting, the detail every bit of it is impeccable. And Nathan Fairbairn's colors really bring it all to life.Snyder's been a bit wordy on this book, but good luck finding any that are unnecessary. Alec's conversa...
