    For anyone who thought the Swamp Thing's adventures were going to be restricted to the Louisiana bayou, that illusion was shattered with Swamp Thing #2. Captured by the Un-Men and transported to the Balkans, Swamp Thing encounters his arch nemesis, Dr. Arcane for the first time.  This comic is a bit better than the average for the time, mostly due to Wrightson's artwork, which is like a twisted, expressionist version of Jack Kirby.
