    Len Wein, citing a heavy workload and recovering from an operation for kidney stones, departs the series. What's left is a muddled attempt to further define the Swamp Thing's origins to include, genetic testing and radioactive waste dumped in the swamp. The heavy-handed message of the book - a plea for tolerance of the different - as much as it seems like preaching, is almost a welcome aspect to the story, as it's the only thing that keeps the book from seeming like just another bland, generic c...
