    Next Stop: Gotham City! 0

Again, Scott Snyder presents epicness in this fourteenth issue.I really liked the first fight scene, where the Teen Titans are trying to destroy the Green, but Alec easily defeats them by getting to the peak of his power and becoming a huge Swamp Thing. It showed us his maximum potential, which is really awesome. I also liked how Alec believes that Abby isn't dead and that's what makes him go to Gotham to get a special weapon to kill Arcane, the "man" who ruined his life.Yanick Paquette is amazi...

Do Plants Dream of Wicker Sheep? 0

Not one of Paquette's best covers, a little too simple and too obvious; but overall not a bad one by any means. His interior art on the other hand is putting Animal Man to utter shame with vibrant colors and Paquette improving his experimental panel layouts, though he still has a ways to go to reach Marco Rudy's level. And before you jump on me, this is of course strictly speaking in terms of panel layouts Paquette is at least as good as Rudy in terms of actual art, and I would't really argue wi...

    Giant Swamp Thing 1

After reading Scott Snyder brilliant work on Swamp Thing Vol. 1: Raise Them Bones as well as his Batman series I decided to continue getting the Swamp Thing series starting last issue which began Swamp Things part in the Rotworld crossover (if you discount the Prelude).PlotThe fight between Swamp Thing (Alec Holland), Poison Ivy and Deadman against the zombie Teen Titans continues but due to being so close to the Parliament of Trees Swamp Thing has the power of the Green on his side like never b...

THE GOOD: Yanick Paquette is a good artist, we all know this. He did surprise me this issue however; he managed to make a skeleton absolutley beautiful and that takes a lot of talent. Other wise, the amazing paneling, great facial expressions and the gore were all just spot on. If you read comics more for the art more then the story, this would be a good one. The story also is just as good as the art and really gives us more info on how Arcane became this powerful. Scott Snyder does a great job ...

A good writer is, above all, someone that makes me connect with the character, that, with words, transfers me to the place, both physical and emotional, that the character is living, and Snyder is doing a terrific job here in Swamp Thing. Only now that the character is fully receptive to his real purpose as the savior of the Green, he must leave this place of power and embark in a journey to save the world and his love. His rage, fear, bravery and love, Snyder transmits this all. Differently of ...
