The comic was remarkable for its inventiveness and longevity, running for an impressive 163 issues. The lead story of issue #1, "The Boy of 100 Faces" was written by Otto Binder and drawn by Curt Swan. It followed Jimmy as he disguised himself to infiltrate the criminal gang of Deuce Dorgan. Along with colleague Jumbo Jones, Jimmy succeeded in getting into Dorgan's hideaway - but was caught and had to call on Superman for help. The numbering was continued in The Superman Family.Collected EditionsShowcase Presents Superman Family vol. 1 (#1-22)Showcase Presents Superman Family vol. 2 (#23-34)Showcase Presents Superman Family vol. 3 (#35-44)Showcase Presents Superman Family vol. 4 (#45-53)Fourth World Omnibus Vol. 1 (#133-139)Jack Kirby: The Fourth World Omnibus (#133-139)Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen by Jack Kirby (#133-139 & 141-148)Fourth World Omnibus Vol. 2 (#141-145)Fourth World Omnibus Vol. 3 (#146-148)Superman: Tales from the Phantom Zone (#157 & 205) Font-sizeParagraphHeader 4Header 3Header 2 Quote Link Img Table TweetClean sizeSMLpositionLCRUDchangeCreditDeletesizeSMpositionLRUDchangetitle 1title 2captiondelete×Edit Image TitleTitle: ×Embed ImageWhat size image should we insert?
