Superman/Batman
Volume »
Superman/Batman is a monthly comic book series about the combined adventures of two of the most recognizable DC superheroes of all time.
Review: Superman/Batman #78
I'm getting this.
Haven't read this yet, but no matter what the outcome is...
Batman is always the true winner.
As shown on Superman/Batman #39:
Anyone who can stand up after being hit with a SUPER PUNCH by Superman is the winner.

" loved the Superman/Batman story but I lost focus on the Huntress/Powergirl story like 2 pages in "I reread it halfway through writing my review and enjoyed it... it was ok.

I get mine this weekend but dang on 15 pages? The sucks, but I like Huntress so hopefully the backup story is good.
It was funny
Batman:So as long as there is crime in the streets, I have no time for nooky.
Superman: Honestly, I only hang out with you guys because is fun.I'm kind of more powerful than all of you combined.
This issue was awesome.
I've really been enjoying Superman / Batman for the past few months... they've been fairly accessible single-shot stories that are especially rewarding for long-time fans, taking particular advantage of the ambiguous timeline / continuity to just tell good / fun / interesting stories... which is exactly what Superman / Batman should be, IMHO, since it's the book that comic book "newbies" will pick up on the brand name alone.
Anyways, this issue pokes fun at the tropes, the fans, and the characters without being mean spirited and is fun for it.
As for the "fight" itself... the Batman prep was a little over the top... I'm unconvinced by the outcome, but the atomized lead filaments were inspired, has that ever been in a comic before? That's one of those great "moves" or action beats that deserves to be adapted into other media.
