    Go, Aquaman!

To be honest, I understand that Namor is drop dead sexy but I have never understood why there's so much hate for Aquaman. I don't get it. He's just as cool and his outfits aren't all that bad (the action figures make him look a bit on the fruity side though but it's supposed to be armor not glittery spandex!).

Batman and Supes delve deep into the ocean to get a large deposit of Kryptonite. They have been scouring the Earth looking for any piece, drawing the line at microscopic ones, in order to store all Kryptonite safely in one bunker. Aquaman resents this invasion - it is his domain just as Metropolis and Gotham are to the surface heroes. They didn't run their plan by him in advance which would have been a courtesy. Superman is usually much more aware of diplomatic ties than Bats but neither of them saw their actions as wrong.

This Aquaman is hot and determined. He's got a strong personality akin to the Aquaman fans saw on Smallville (drool). It's not that he would even disagree with the plan to collect the Kryptonite; he merely would have liked someone to give him a heads up. It seems that by the end the Black & Blue have learned this lesson. Aquaman is on their side after all and they should have realized it.

The artwork is stellar as well, giving these deep oceanic scenes the feel of a top quality documentary (note the attacking shark scene). I also happen to like the blackened eyes of Aquaman which look like smooth onyx marbles; this lends to beefing him up and making him appear more kick ass than previously.
