Gimmicky but the gimmick works
Switching genders is a seldom used plot device in fiction, but it is one which has been around since antiquity. Superman & Batman offers up a different take on this, as Bruce is thrown into an alternate dimension where all the genders are reversed. He meets female versions of Superman and Batman, and a male version of Supergirl. It was a nice twist that in this reality that the Huntress is Batman (which would make Bruce in this dimension the Hunter) and I was also pleasantly surprised when Big Bard and Miss Miracle show up (shouldn't it be Mrs. though? presumably they are still married.) There seems to be something among the comic book readership that likes to see their favourite male characters redrawn as females (though the inverse doesn't usually happen.) Still I liked this concept, they even gave Superlad a sort of not so serious costume as Supergirl's is often portrayed. I thought Miss Miracle looked the coolest of the redrawn characters:
The rest of the issue is fairly entertaining as well. The Joker is up to an eleborate scheme, and various heroes (and Bizarros) are trying to stop him. This involves a great personal reflection inside Clark's head about whether he should free Darkseid from the Source Wall, and a pretty cool page showing a collection of various Supergirls.
