    Just finished watching episode 15: Fortune. 
    Near the end when Chloe is saying good-bye to Clark she mentions that in her world travels she's met other heroes: "a billionaire with hi-tech toys and a wondrous woman"  Batman and wonder woman, respectively.  
    Will we be seeing our favourite Caped Crusader and Amazonian Princess on friday nights anytime  soon?

    I thought waaay back in the beginning it was announced that Batman would never be making an appearance on Smallville. Some sort of legal issue. I think G-Man or maybe Babs posted a thread about it (could be wrong though).
     
    WW's a possibility I think. Especially since we've already seen Lois in the costume.

    I don't think so. I think that was just a reference saying that Batman and WW exists in the Smallville universe. The only other superheores besides Superboy I know that will make an appearance are

    They kind of did last episode by alluding to traits that fans would instantly connect to Batman without actually saying his (or Bruce Wayne's) name. And even that took how many years now? I dont know why these companies have to ruin something that has great potential with legal nonsense, but they do.

    I don't think they will make an appearance. Not many episodes are left, plus with the Batman movie and the new WW series in the makings, I don't they would like to confuse viewers. Most likely it was just a nod to fans and nothing more. Although I would like to see them making an appearance.

     I always thot they had green arrow as a batman standin because they weren't aloud to use him,

    Actually Ted Kord is also going to appear on the show so it's likely that in their universe he was also Blue Beetle before Jaime reyes.

    No... Batman and Wonder Woman will not be appearing in Smallville due to copyright... Warner Brother won't allow them to use any of the first tear characters apart from Martian Manhunter, who is hardly ever seen in hero role or member of the JLA and Superman who is the main character of the show. 
     
    It was just an homage... nothing more.

    You know...i agree with you. Batman is such an amazing character and one of my favourites and i would hate it if they ruined him since he is such a complex character and if not handled the right way can be destroyed.
