I spent several weeks trailing through the recent crossover in the Batman comics, but lo and behold, in just TWO issues, not six, Superman manages to provide me with a much better monster mash than that ever offered. It managed to sqeeeze in another character in Captain Storm, establish a bit more backstory, give us some emotionally stirring Clark and Jon moments, some striking visuals and heroes, ordinary and super-powered, holding their own against monstrous hoards.

And the ending was quite interesting too, someone staring intently at a squid-like alien creature...familiar to a beady-eyed Watchmen fan perhaps?

Superman comics wank continues

This book.....Oh my God this book...

This issue was one of the best Superman adventure issues that has been put out in a good long while. And the great homage to the new frontier...i was clapping inside reading this book.

Also i LOVE Clark's characterisation as a dad, He's caring and encouraging yet firm. Dad themes play out in trinity #2 this week as well, which made me happy cry.

Doug Mahnke's art was just stellar in my opinion.

Who is wanking superman comics? So anyone saying they really liked superman comics are now wanking? Superman comics receives appreciation because the writers and team are doing quite a good job since rebirth. They understands the character well too imo.

This Nightwing and Trinity were the top DC books.

Trinity is surprisingly good. Nightwing was really well written.

I'm shocked at how good Trinity is, Manapuls previous 2 outings as a writer were pretty mediocre to bad.

Same here, I really disliked his Darkseid War Superman One shot even if it had that meme worthy 'Give me my pie moment.' But Trinity was a complete turn around. It's actually a competent story.

It's such a sad circumstance that a week before this issue of trinity came out Manapul's father passed away. This book would be one hell of a dedication.

I'm soooo excited this is it.. next issue Jon and Damian will meet. This was a solid issue and conclusion. Tomasi and Gleason killed it.
