@toptom: it's like how batman can beat guys like bane,who are way above him in power.if you think of MMs powers like you would Batman's skills then you could figure out why I would say MM is not as powerful as superman,but he is so versatile that he can compete or beat him.
Superman's raw power might be slightly higher, but I don't think by much, I don't see MMH getting Blitzed and could probably slug it out "fist to fist" for a bit longer than Wonder Woman or Aquaman (maybe "closer" to Captain Marvel). You add in his other abilities and you can see why he is solid. Not sure who's Eye L4z3rs Pew Pew better!
@powerwoman: He does have a limit. Time. It takes time to absorb so much sunlight. I mean Superman Prime 1,000,000 took 15,000 years to become a low skyfather
@powerwoman: Well it's posible for any kryptonian, but he also got powers from each of his descendants which includes 5th dimensional powers and powers from the source so he is pretty unique.
@powerwoman: Yeah. But what I'm saying is while Supergirl or Powergirl could sit in the core of the sun for 15,000 years, but since he has 5th dimensional powers and powers from the Source, I doubt they would be as powerful. In muscle strength maybe.
Can someone explain to me please how superman would lose I'm not saying he would win but I thought his only weaknesses were kryptonite and magic ?? I do prefer MM though but I see this being a draw
That punch to the nose was from someone far weaker than superman. I'm not saying superman would know this weak link right off the bat but if h accidentally does it hes dead

Superman is still weak to punches and kicks like every other hero lol. It just has to be from someone powerful. MM also is a VERY powerful telepath, can shape shift, go invisible, intangibility, had martian beams (might not have it anymore), super speed, super strength, flight.
He single handily defeated Despero where the whole JL had to defeat him (MM was forced to not use his full strength because the JL apparently are afraid of hurting powerful enemies lol)
I would still put money on Superman to win. He seems to have more of a powerful mind now. He's been up against Psycho Pirate, Hector Hammond, that 5th dimensional imp guy, among others. It would be close but Supes would take it.
superman wins he could hold out the mental attacks for a while and he is faster stronger more durable and can even phase like the martian well more like flash but still same principle the only difference man hunter can hold his molecules in that place while supes can only shift them there for a short time.
MM is stronger, in a sense that if they fought 2 copies of the same person, MM would defeat him much more easily then Superman. BUT MM's weakness is fire and superman has laser eyes.
..MM has more powers, but Superman has more raw power...it makes for an interesting contest. MM telepathy has always given him an edge...but Superman is definitely the stronger of the two...
@ohitsthatguy: That was Pre Flashpoint although he defeated desparo or despero in the new 52. Also, current versions, New 52 Clark has resisted mind crushes (look at the scans I showed).
@war_ruin: Yep, if Martian uses his TP Superman has no chance; it's out of character for him not to use it. New-52 Martian dropped Despero with telepathy.
@war_ruin: Yes I did. H'el also dropped Superman telepathy, and Martian is a much better telepath. Despero has the entire Justice League under illusions (including Superman), Martian humiliated him. Superman hasn't faced telepaths as strong as Martian.
@frozen: Regardless, Current Clark is no stranger to Telepathy. Yes, Martian Manhunter could enter Kal's mind but Superman does have the willpower to overcome it depending on the circumstances.
