Many people complained about the inability to see Henry Cavill's 'Superman' costume when Warner Brothers revealed the official image. Was he keeping the briefs, or would they toss them like they did for Supes in DC's New 52? Well, based on the most recent "spy pictures," our questions have been answered.

Earlier today images of Cavill as 'Superman were leaked online and we got a much closer look at the detail of his costume. It is certainly very different from any Superman costume that has come before it -- the most obvious change being the lack of briefs. However, the images also revealed the texture of the uniform, which we could see in the first image, looks very similar to the Spider-Man movie costume. The chain-like effect gives the costume a more serious tone, which will likely reflect the tone of the upcoming film. We also get a closer look at the outline design of the costume which is likely more for aesthetics than functionality, and confirmation that the suit will indeed be darker. Notice also that he is only wearing the cape in some of the photos, so whether it will be a staple part of his uniform remains to be seen!

Needless to say, we think he looks pretty good. What do you think? 'Superman' is currently filming starring actor Henry Cavill as 'Superman and Amy Adams as 'Lois Lane.' The film is scheduled to be released in theaters sometime in 2013.

For a film interpretation that's positively great. I'm glad he's actually beefed up, just as Chris Hemsworth did for Thor and Christian Bale did for Batman, it wouldn't work as well had they not.

Looks interesting, now that they put aside that red underwear, it looks sci-fi more than ever, and that's not a bad thing considering Supes is an alien and all that. I just hope this won't go the way the of the Green Lantern if you know what I mean. I put my full-on faith on Snyder and Nolan's shoulders.

All looks fine except for two things. The hair still looks atrocious...and the bulge makes me think of Joel Schumacher codpieces for the Batsuit.  And yes it looks like they are adopting the "New 52" suit for the look, which is great even if it does make me miss the old suit.

I... don't really like it.  Not enough red, not enough lines breaking up the costume.  It's like the person who designed Spider-Man's suit in the new movie also designe this one. 
And they both kinda suck.  :/

Hmmm....looks interesting. I like it because it looks Kryptonian but it doesn't have the wholesome Superman feel. If I had no clue what Superman was like i'd probably really like this costume.

Suit looks pretty sweet, it's nice to have a change. Lets us know that it's a reboot instead of ANOTHER sequel.

I have no interest in Zack Snyder's version of anything.

I'd prefer is his belt or whatever those black designs on his sides are called were red instead of black. I just think he needs more color throughout. I wish Zack Snyder wasn't directing tho, now we know it will be all about typical action with no substance to make it really stand out among the other superhero movies. Cavill's got the superhero physique down tho, I'm impressed

Overall looks good but for some reason, to my eyes, it looks like the image with the cape is photo shopped or something; it looks "off" . Was the cape added later perhaps?

Still having hopes for it, I think this should be good, and yes, a Superman actor who has muscles and looks like Superman!

My opinion: 
Suit is..... OK. Cavill looks buff. Only thing missing is belt. Something to visually separate upper and lower part of the body. Other than that, suit is acceptable (for the time being).
