This might sound crazy but I think the belt improves the look (vs just shorts) but makes the shorts look more out of place!

Boxers, briefs, or nuuude?

No it's kind of gaudy and not particularly appealing as a belt buckle. I much prefer the Smallville Season 11 belt or the classic belt. Even the Rebirth belt is OK.

@jonez_ Tough call, I'd ultimately go with boxers, they attract less of the 'underwear on the outside' jokes and work well on the iconic costume.
