Idk what the consensus was on it, but I found the idea to be genius. Most of the best Superman stories are off continuity works. And a book like this, an anthology collection of random Superman stories... I freggin loved it based on the possibilities alone.

Haven't been to the shop in a while. Is it still a thing? And if not anything like it around, or possibly coming out eventually?

Yes, but loosely. Miller didn't have regular access to the episodes of the cartoon since he lived in Scotland so the characters were often different from the animated versions at times, more of a general classic Superman comic. Still, it's highly regarded and I've read a couple issues, it's really good.
