I thought it was a great movie but so many people are criticizing it saying it was too dark. Don't they realize that a cheesy superman wouldn't work nowadays? Superman was actually human and not an emotionless robot in MOS.
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18942 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Only one who loved MOS?
I enjoyed it very much. It wasn't perfect, but still very good. 9/10
Had some of the most powerful imagery I've seen in a CBM, ever.
I liked it. My only real gripe with the movie is that they used too much shaky cam at times (most notably when Pa Kent was talking to Clark about the bus incident). That and the way Pa Kent died. Lame.
Other than that I thought the movie ruled! 8.5/10
lots of people liked it. But you only notice people whining and complaining, just like most news is bad news.
Exactly, it's called a vocal minority, people who like it are generally content to say nothing.
That concept applies to a lot of 'outrage' on the internet.

I don't remember shaky cam being an issue when it mattered though: during action sequences.
Compared to Batman Begins for example...lol
Snyder knows how to shoot action ridiculously well.
@highlyevolved: I've heard of many, many, MANY more people who've loved it than disliked it.

I friggin hate how true this is...
I thought it was terrific, it is in my top three CBM'z, next to The Dark Knight and The Avengers.
Faora alone makes it a top 5 by herself :D
@fallschirmjager: Yes, she will be my future wife and @theacidskull: definitely cannot have her as a result. :O
I loved it. I had a couple of very small issues with it, but I thought it was a great representation.
Great Superman movie what really annoyed me the most was that Clark had to actually had to say the line "You're not my real father!" to Pa Kent. We get it this ain't your grand daddys "swell" superman but really I had to hear THAT line? The Superman VS big robot thing was tiresome at that point in the movie felt like they said "Well we got 30 million left in the budget to burn... big robot thing!!!!!" but Superman VS Faora and Superman VS Zod was great
I am happy to see so many other people enjoyed the film. I really liked it personally, thought it was a good origin story. Snyder and Goyer did a good job laying the ground work for the DC cinematic universe, I hope Ben Affleck will direct the future Batman solo films as well as star in them. A Batman/Superman film is finally a reality with likely more characters following in films of their own it is a great time for fans.
I liked it, but hated Pa Kent's death scene and Superman killing
Can we be clear about what it is that everyone hates about the Pa Kent death scene? because for me its that he dies limping over to the truck to save a dog that has apparently died of natural causes according to basically the next, now jumping back to present time, scene
Liked this film very much (but admit that would have tweaked some scenes). Solid 8/10.
MoS is one of top 3 superhero films for me.
My biggest problem with this movie was that Jor-El who was bred to be a scientist physically outmatched a bred warrior like Zod. From that point on he just seemed like less of a threat to me. On the other hand it had some great moments like Superman shouting: You think you can threaten my mother! Pure win. :P
Loved it, was a 9 for me, my favorite origin movie and top 3 Superhero movie (alongside TDK and Watchmen). Bums me out so many people cant cut Superman some slack and want him to be perfect from the start or throw out comics like All Star and VS Elite, all which are examples of pro powerful Superman. This is day one Superman and he's still more of a man than Super. But maybe they are right, he should have just Flown around the earth and turned everything back to normal or made a bunch of dumb jokes and struck cool poses while the earth is in danger cough cough avenger cough.
@papinacho: I took it like the movie Limitless, where he is so smart he learned Kung Fu just by reading it and watching it, besides he's most likely so smart he knows how to crack the code and boost himself up,
Yes.
You are the one human being on the entire planet who loved the major motion picture production.
The parade will be scheduled shortly.

On my first watching this film, that moment seemed strange to me a little as well.
Then I got to think: Jor-El was a father who defended life of his son (remember – Codex can be extracted from dead body too); in the beginning of fight Zod hesitate, hold back, because Jor-El in past was his friend.
Clark was devoid of emotion which is fine it's their character whatever, Lois could have been replaced by c3p0 and it would have made little difference considering she was a glorified courier/arm candy, the jump cuts were overused almost to the point of confusion, I can't buy the fact that even though kryptonians had spread all across the galaxy they decided to give up or kill themselves leaving Clark to be the supposed last one, Clark was so out of character it didn't feel like superman at all. I get the fact that it's their universe but if your gonna call it superman then you have to respect who superman is. I would have almost rather they called him anything but considering it would have made more sense. Why didn't the other kryptonians leave seeing as how they knew their planet was going to explode and it was established that they were very familiar with daily interstellar travel. How am I supposed to believe that superman was able to defeat what was easily a dozen other trained kryptonians with the same power as himself under a yellow sun. Surely a spacefaring race would have known the effects of different suns on their bodies. Where was Clark's super speed during any of the movie besides the end fights? And I know this is pure individual opinion but I love the super cheesy classic superman lines about truth justice and the American way along with many others but there wasn't a single one. Oh and pa kent somehow standing right next to a tornado funnel made no sense. I am glad that they didn't deus ex kryptonite though and the fight scenes were BA
Tldr: way to many plot inconsistencies but awesome fight scenes
Haha, definitely not the only bud! I loved that film, obviously it had some problems but I thought it was great!
I thought it was stunning. Sure , I didn't love every part of it but overall, I think it's a good Superman movie
Im only embarrassed that I swore up and down that it would make a billion dollars. But beating most marvel movies and breaking the months record isnt half bad.
A lot other individuals have expressed the problems and flaws with the film much more eloquently than I. But this was my reaction to watching the film: http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/155596/suicide-takes-forever
