We've known for a while now that the dream team of Scott Snyder and Jim Lee will present a new Superman title, but now we finally have plenty of new information about the upcoming series.

First and foremost, it's going to be called SUPERMAN UNCHAINED (and no, Quentin Tarantino has no connection). We can get our hands on it June 12th-- two days before Man of Steel's release and the same month BATMAN/SUPERMAN will come out! Snyder and Lee spoke with USA Today about the title.

"I know conceptually why he admires Lois Lane, but then when you're writing them and you feel the chemistry between them and it comes to life on the page, it's always these little bursts of surprises that have been a joy to discover with him," Snyder says.

"The energy we're bringing to the story and that 'Hey, we can add new stuff to the canon' kind of attitude will serve us well," Lee says.

It looks like we'll get a deeper Clark and Lois connection... but will they actually get together, and what would that mean for Superman's relationship with Wonder Woman over in Geoff Johns' book?

Talk about an amazing 75th anniversary for Kal-El! Man of Steel looks great and now there's two new titles by astonishing teams. So, is this a clear "must buy" for you, Viners?

I was hoping for Man of Steel title instead of Superman Unchained. Also I'd rather WW and Superman be together a little longer! I always got the feeling that Lois was only in love with Superman and not Clark Kent.

Which would be wrong since in the 90's Lois was Clark Kent's fiancee, not Superman's.

Hopefully it won't be about Superman teaming up with Lobo to rescue Wonder Woman from H'el or something :P

Thoughts:

-Perhaps they have different plans for the Man of Steel title, like an actual tie-in with the movie for instance.

-That is a badass cover.

-Superman is one of my top four favorite characters at DC Comics along with Green Lantern, Flash, and Cyborg. So you can bet I'm going to be the first person at my LCS to pick this up along with Robert Venditti's Green Lantern.

-The title no doubt draw Django references.

Still going to buy this of course but the name of the book is kinda underwhelming.

Damn if he's trying to shaft the Clark and Diana relationship already. I never cared for the lois and clark thing and meh if it comes back so soon. I was hoping when it did it'd be a few years down the line and then I could stop caring once again when it did. Remember ,Snyder, Django don't cry or whine or wring his hands.

Same here, but Superman #19 seems to indicate a complication with their relationship, as indicated at the end of their story in the Young Romance: The New 52 Valentine's Day Special #1, as will as the solicit for it.

But the cover could be a miss-lead as you might come to suspect if you read Justice League of America #1, where you will see what appears to be evil versions of Superman. Batman & Wonder Woman built by I can only assume is Professor Ivo for an evil secret society, which again I can only assume are the New 52 version of the Secret Society of Super Villains.

finally if we look at the release date of issue 19 (Last week of April) and the fact that Superman Unchained is due June, that could have a significant reason behind it. I won't say what I feel it could be, I'll leave that to you to speculate.

Finally, a Superman story I want to read!

I've kind of hated everything Supes related (besides the first half of Action Comics) in the new 52. Snyder hasn't done me wrong yet, so here's to me being excited!

I don't love the new title for the series, but still very excited for the story!

I just hope Scott doesn't make Superman all dark and broody like he seems to be in Man of Steel.

I don't mind some darkness or pathos to my Superman, but at the end of the day I still like him being the day to Batman's night.

I guess it will sell like hot cakes but I bought For Tomorrow and that was a load of crap. I have not bought anything written by Snyder to be honest and does he want to write New 52 Supes or is he going to give us his version of preachy old canon Superman who can't decide anything for himself? That version sucks. As for the Lois/Clark stuff color me uninterested. Come on, can we get something like how he's writing Supes personality or even some ideas on the villain? There's nothing about this really other than two big names.

It's been too long since I've actually wanted to read a Superman comic. I will pick this up because I have faith in Scott Snyder. If anyone is going to be able to turn around the New 52 Superman franchise, it'd be him.

Also: What is the other Superman title with an astonishing team? I thought Grant Morrison was off Action comics.

The titles stupid. The only reason I'm going to buy this is because of Snyder and Lee. Let's be honest though. How long will Lee actually draw this book. He's known for not lasting on series recently.
