Let's recreate the Arkham Origins scenario for Superman--with Lex Luthor as Black Mask. Who do you choose to fight the Man of Steel in a video game?

(Yes, Arkham Origins only has 8 Assassins, but Superman is tough, so we can give him one more guy. =])

I think Doomsday is enough to handle him. If not, add in Lobo.

Nice, but Like Arkham origins it'll be someone pretending to be Luthor, I don't think Lex would let anyone else kill Superman,he'd wanna do it himself.

if we are to recreate arkham origins, we'll need the useless guy to play the role of the electrocutionner, (just saying)

the thing is, not many of superman's villains can be hired to fight against him.

1. metallo replaces Bane

2.Lobo replaces deathstroke.

3. toyman to replace deadshot ( I know it's an odd idea)

4. Parasite

5. cyborg supes, replacing Shiva in the role of that character who delivers a message that hints at the next game.

6. Grundy, replacing Croc

7. atomic skull.

8. silver Banshee to replace Firefly.

9. Volcana in the role of electrocutionner.

this should do, and if possible, we can add something with intergang, to replace the sub-plot with penguin

He has way too much ego to do that.

Since they are hired by Luthor they should be below his level or care for what Luthor has to give
Soooo the likes of Doomsday and Mongul are outside the list of available villians.

Well I am talking about DCU Luthor and his possibilities and Doomsday being control by human tech is a bit odd plus it takes away the fun of making a list of 9 possible fights which won't end up in a stalemate or a double KO.

Mongul IMO would do that get the most powerful and dangerous cosmic villains in the DCU to kill Superman.

@blackwind: Live-wire I would disagree she controls electricity which means she can control the plasma of that electricity, there is a thing out there that is called Cosmic Lighting most of the universe has a form of plasma so yes she can and is capable of killing superman Cosmic Lighting has the force and energy of a Supernova explosion if not more so. She is VERY VERY Powerful in that regard and she is capable of harnessing that power for sure not just average, remember current electricity is weaker then natural Lighting which is the heat of the suns surface. So in short Livewire has godlike electrical manipulation powers she can do all of this.

@drudox19: Just when has she shown she can do amy of that? Just because her powers are electrical doesn't mean she has either the ability, or even the know how to do any of that. Unless it was done by her and I'm unaware, you're stretching her powers pretty far.

8. Master Jailer (The Riddler of the scenario perhaps)
9. Reactron. He isn't really a Superman villain per se but a Pre Flashpoint rendition of the character during the New Krypton arc gave him a suit powered by gold Kryptonite which allowed him to strip Kryptonians of their powers for a few seconds. That could be an interesting game mechanic if incorporated correctly.

All of these villains would be willing to take on Superman for Luthor's cash reward.
