I'm glad Superman is going to be with someone other than Lois, but him and Wonder Woman just seems odd, I thought they seemed to have a strong platonic relationship... I'm not gonna judge yet though, just interested to read what happens.
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18939 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
JUSTICE LEAGUE #12: Superman and Wonder Woman Hook Up
I think this is neat. Would have rather seen Wonder Woman and Batman get together for real, because I just think there is more room for chemistry between the two, but this is cool.
Well if DC loses the rights to Lois Lane, they won't care now. Also, lets face it, they deserve to have some fun without worrying about killing their partners.
I am enjoying the new 52, but some stuff is really confusing me. While I'm not the biggest fan of complaining about continuity, specially since its been all over the place with new 52, I have to question something regarding WW.
A) we know 100% that blackest night happened
B) we know WW declared her love for Batman during that event
C) WW and Batman never got to share these feelings due to Batman's time travel and whatever that last WW story before new 52 was
Yes I know these complaints are stupid in the grand scheme of thing, but I really want to see a WW and Batman relationship or at least some hints to it. I thought the idea was cool in Justice League (the cartoon) , and would like to see it follow through.
I still hope this "hook up" with Superman is some sort of fake tease or something not too serious.

Okay its official DC's New52 Justice League sucks and breaks all the rules of DC comics...
how does it break all the rules? A variation of this has happened many times. They have whole websites for people that want to see this happen.

Lois was in the very first issue of Action comics? I would kind of be ok with DC Losing Lois. I love her as a character and i think she is great but there are multiple copies of her (Iris Allen West, Vicki Vale, Summer Gleeson, Charlotte Rivers {Anchor Woman}, Chloe Sulivan (could be brought in to the Main DCU), Lana Lang (did work at the planet for a bit before the relaunch), Heather Kelley, and Cat Grant) and thats just going thru the friends lists of Batman and Superman.
@DEGRAAF: Yes she was in Action Comics 1, but she was never call "Lois Lane", just "Lois". So it is yet to be seen if DC can win her back. The real issue is that a Judge awarded the love-triangle with "Superman", "Lois (Lane - currently)", and "Clack Kent" to the Siegel's so even if DC wins back "Lois Lane" they could worry about infringement by keeping the relationship.
Reminds me of the All Star Batman and Robin issue where they did that. That series was such a hoot.
What they got this month? 'Superman and Wonder Woman hook up' versus 'Magic amnesiac Spider-boy gets boy sidekick.'
DC's winning this one for sure. :)

What I don't like about Superman and WW is the fact that WW does not need a man to be who she is she certainly doesn't need Superman and to me that's degrading a character thats set in the beliefs of women being as strong and as powerful as men are.
People who state they should hook up don't know a thing about Wonder Woman and are ignorant toward her.
Thats all I'm Saying.
Right... because it's not ignorant make a sweeping generalization like what you just said. Calling other's on ignorance with an ignorant statement. Great job!

People talking about Steve Trevor is a lot like people talking about Superman being able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Steve has not been a love interest for Wonder Woman since the Golden Age.
I know. The people who have been saying that having Diana and Steve as a couple would be more of the same old, same old obviously don't know anything about Wonder Woman. Steve hasn't been a love interest for Wonder Woman for, like, 20 years.

Lol yeah.
Good lord, their children could almost play catch with The Spectre. But really, though. I can't speak for all of Superman's stories, but all of the post-Infinite Crisis stuff I've read (especially Kurt Busiek's stuff) make them out to be a fun couple. I always thought that was one of Lois' most impressive qualities: given the choice of a her or the Princess of The Amazons, Clark chose Lois Lane.
I'd like to see them fall in love again, someday.
Thank you for doing this, DC!
I definitely approve.
Hopefully, it's not an imaginary tale thing. It would be much cooler to make an actual story out of it. Even if they only go out for a few issues, it's got potential for a cool story (and visuals!) tho personally, I'd like to see it stick for as long as possible, I think they make a cooler (and hotter!) couple than Superman and Lois -- that is soooo dull IMO.
Yes because everyone that you've ever dated was absolutely compatible w/ you right? *sigh* Fanboys. *facepalm*
It's called trial and error. He's Superman and she's Wonder Woman. They can date WHO EVER THE F**K THEY WANT.
@Sovereign91001:
Was this aimed to you? no, did I name anyone? no. It's not ignorance it's fact, read Woman woman comics does she need Superman or a Love interest? no she's doing fine without one. I'm fine with them for a few issues in Justice League but long term no. But I hate having to re read a story I've already read at least 20 years ago. It shouldn't stick at all for the fact is WW isn't as noble as she used to be pre reboot hell she kills and has stated as such has 52 Superman killed? No if you talk about the Parademons those things were not really alive they seemed more machine than anything else. Does Superman condone killing? no. Wonder Woman obviously does. thats where they will clash.
I already know how this story will play out unless DC pull a 180 on either characters personality and morals change so much they weren't the same as last issue.
It's another reason why I only dabbled around reading Action comics they may have changed it slightly but I'm not reading another origin story of Superman I've read it already. DC proclaim to be writing something new and what I've seen so far is everything is the same even this little pairing. It will do the same thing as it did last time unless DC don't care about their characters personality and morals from issues before and just marry the two off.

I didn't say you were referring to me, you did however refer to a group of people and then a made a sweeping generalization about those people.
"People who state they should hook up don't know a thing about Wonder Woman and are ignorant toward her.

This is an ignorant statement. You didn't say I don't like the pairing I disagree with it, I don't see the connection etc. Instead you decided to call out an entire group who do like the pairing citing their 'ignorance' based on your interpretation of a character. That is ignorant period, end of story.

Unfortunately for all...as quoted on Yahoo (Not sure how solid their reporting is...it is Yahoo): The New Power Couple: Superman and Wonder Woman By Michael Krumboltz - Yahoo Movie Talk Courtesy of DC Comics/EW.comScandal in Metropolis! Superman and Wonder Woman are canoodling on the cover of an upcoming "Justice League" comic. No word on what flavor of Ben and Jerry's Lois Lane was gorging on. Now we have to get a little geeky here to explain what's going on. DC Comics, the publisher of Superman and Wonder Woman, recently relaunched all their comics, calling them The New 52. This is the 12th issue of a reboot for The Justice League, kind of DC's version of "The Avengers." Loyal readers might have suspected something like this was coming. As Entertainment Weekly points out, Superman and Wonder Woman have been getting all flirty in recent issues of the new comic. Apparently, they just couldn't fight the feeling anymore. And this isn't going to be some lame one-off where in the next issue Superman wakes up from a dream and he's still dating Lois Lane. EW quotes writer Geoff Johns: "This is the new status quo," says Johns. He added that the new power couple's relationship will have a big effect on the rest of the DC Universe. While some folks may be outraged at the idea of Superman and Wonder Woman smooching this isn't the first time they've taken their relationship to a higher plane. In the Batman-centric "The Dark Knight Strikes Again," Superman and Wonder Woman have a daughter named Lara (aka Supergirl) together. Many EW commenters believe Batman and Wonder Woman would make a better couple, but we think Superman is a good match. These two need a partner who understands what it's like to save the world over and over again. Plus their outfits compliment each other so well.Okay, for starters, the Avengers are Marvel's version of the Justice League, not the other way around.
And since when have Wonder Woman and Superman been getting flirty? I've been reading since the series began and I can't even recall one time that they were legitimately flirting with one another. The only time that I can think comes close was that one scene where Superman remarks "You're strong" to Diana, but that hardly counts.
Yahoo's full of SH%&.
superman always stares at wonder woman.
Dude. In about half those pictures, you can't even tell where his sightline ends up. In one, I'm pretty sure he's looking at Batman. And in the other, he's looking at Wonder Woman, yeah, but only because she's talking.
I can't wait to get this issue. This is going to be amazingly fun to read about and interesting to see what the rest of the Leaguers have to say about it; of course I hope they don't really get rid of Lois as Superman's main story-mover and love interest, but I've always enjoyed heroes getting together, it sparks much more interesting stories than heroes and mundane citizens getting together.
Personally, I like the idea of Batman and Wonder Woman getting together the best, but Superman and WW could play out just as nicely or even better with a good writer. Bruce Wayne could learn a lot from the emotionally open and positive Amazon princess, and likewise he could probably teach her a lot of moves and strategies, or even try to take her to darker places in a crazed, paranoid attempt to keep her safe from everything the multiverse could do to her...
So I think it'll be interesting to read about this, but I hope Bruce and Diana end up together later on as well.

Hey guys, take a look at this cover.
Now. Did Wonder Woman and Apollo hook up in this issue? No, they didn't...
but this cover was not backed by statements from Geoff Johns
@Zeeguy91:That'd might be true, except Geoff Johns gave it the sign off saying that it's the 'new status quo'
This is disrespecful to Wonder Woman people already have a hard time taking her seriously now she hooks up with Superman people will just talk about how supes banged that ass.
In my opinion, this is fantastic! I've heard many things, mostly arguments on Bruce & Diana, or Clark & Lois. If you guys can listen this once, please do. Bruce has had many love interests, he naturally gets almost any girl he wants to like him. He already has this thing going on with Catwoman in the comics right now, so that crosses him out. As for Lois, she is human! At first, I was upset, because I originally liked the idea of Clark & Lois. But she is human for Christ's sake! In the comics, and in the recent movie, she was with another guy, and she was happy, why not let it be this way. Clark & Diana make sense, okay? Kal-El is a Kryptonian, people look at him like he is a god. And here, Diana is Zeus' daughter, they make the perfect couple. Superman has stuck to one girl, who constantly is displayed having a liking to other men, so why can't you guys/girls just let Superman have Wonder Woman? Diana is considerably the "perfect super-woman" stereo-type, so for Clark's sake, just let it be. You have to be honest, they make a cute couple, and it makes sense. I hope this gave you people who disagree something to talk about.

I get what you are saying and I agree. For me I never saw the appeal of Batman & Wonder Woman. I say lately with Lois & Clark/Superman the relationship for me has gotten mondane. Also I have heard the agrument made since Lois is a human it is his connection to humanity that they should get together and stay together. It is time for change so I hope this pairing last giving it a fair shot. Also I look at it as they are different versions of the characters we knew because Diana now has Zues as a father and godlike powers. As fir Clark the Kents are dead so he does not have the family to ground him. So I am in support of this paring as you can see from my avatar.
