Is John Byrne's Superman work worth a read?

So I found this run to be voted as one of the Top 100 fan voted CBR Comic Book runs (Which sadly didn't have Johns' Action Comics but yeah, people are weird) and I am intrigued by it. I know Byrne relaunched the character after COIE but essentially, I'm going in blind.

Is it worth a read? This is coming from a guy whose favorite written version of a Post Crisis Superman was done by Johns, Morrison, Kelly, Tomasi (It's still Post Crisis Superman in Rebirth) and Busiek.

I think he introduce a lot of concepts and ideas that I actually agree with and respect. That being said though, I haven't read much outside of the first volume (been meaning to read more I just haven't gotten a chance). From what little I have read, it unfortunately is a bit dated in its dialogue.

Yeah, it's a good run for starters (and not staters) and with a enjoyable story.. I've read all 6 Issues, the lois relationship is really helpful to make it interesting and with Introduction of Bizzaro and Krypton makes it even better!
