You consider Clark a Herald-Level Being? And if he is, where does he rank, low, mid or high?
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18942 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Do you consider him Herald-Level?
Low Level Herald.
But it also depends on which version and which writer is writing him. Byrne's version is nowhere near herald level, Jurgens and Johns is probably just under or low level, Snyder is definitely low level and guys like Loeb, Kelly, Morrison, Lobdell, Pak and Millar easily have him higher on the herald level tiers.
@cruelestashley: Post Crisis/New 52.
@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: I honestly think lobdell has no idea how to write superman. I read his first arc hell on earth and he spends more time explaing what other people are up to rather than what superman is up to. Then when ever he does put some focus on supes he's to busy trying to make him "cool" that he loses all sence of who the and what Superman stands for.
@z3ro180: Oh his Superman was terrible no question. But he did write him extremely powerful and gave him some high end feats. Which is why I put him on the list of writers who write Superman incredibly powerful because he is one of them.
@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: it just felt that when ever lobdell gave superman a powerful feat it was just so he could have one. Most of supermans powerful feat came about because it was crucial to the story being told instead of opening an issue and seeing superman bench a planet for no reason. Yes the feats were cool and flashy your right about that it's just that's what the all, they were flashy. It's kind of like a well prepared vegan hotdog it's good to look at but horrible to eat.
@z3ro180: Well on H'el on Earth Superman was trying to know his limits, and atleast for me it makes sense that he did something like that, but I get what you're saying.
@epyon007: Eh...the tier levels are debatable, but how it goes is this.
Skyfather(Odin)>>Team Buster/Transendent(Thanos)>>Herald(Silver Surfer)
Remember that there are different tiers for everything, low, mid, and high, so one can be a Team Buster and still not be on Thanos level.

He wasn't given the feat just so he could have it. It was to show that with all that Power, H'el was still stronger, faster and overall more POWERFUL!
Definitely Herald level and considering all the crazy powerful feats he has under his belt, he's mid-level Herald very easily. But I also agree with some of the other posts, it really depends on who is writing him. Sometimes Superman is low level herald or even a little below, other times he's higher.
@kenshima15: Yes he was. What was the very first thing Scott Lobdell did in his first issue he wrote for Superman? He gave him that "moving mass that equals Earth for 5 days straight and hardly break a sweat" feat. Scott had NO reason to give Super Fake that feat other than the fact he LOVES writing characters who are so powerful, it defies logic. There was absolutely no reason to give him that ridiculous feat in the very first issue of Scott's run.
@farkam: To be as strong as Galactus’ Heralds
Another way of putting it is this
How good a fight would Superman give Norrin? Would he be like Thor, or would he be like Spider-Man?
Barring what happened with Firelord, obviously ;)
Superman and Thor have different physiology and powers. You can't just compare everyone
His post crisis counter part defo mid herald tier. At least although he's not as versatile as most heralds.
@kirkseven: If they can fight somebody like Nova, they’re Herald Level.
I have always considered him a very strong high tier. Maybe some guys will call him a low herald tier. If DC stopped rebooting his power levels it will be great.
Honestly it does not matter what label you want to put on him. I personally would like to see some good striking feats from Superman going forward.
Herald level character should be able to destroy planet while relaxing and tank explosion of it. So , no.
He has some low herald level feats. But he's not convincingly there yet to me.
Yeah i agree with this now.
Nah. I consider him Upper Mid tier, low high tier at best. He's got amazing base stats but his powerset is way too honest. The lack of utter bullsh*t like Manhunter's Telepathy, Lantern Ring hax, Captain Atom's... everything, Firestorms Matter manipulation, Dr. Fates magic, Wolverine/Sentry/Deadpool/Hulk's insane regeneration, magic weaponry, Silver Surfer's... everything, etc keep him outta any high tier I can think of.
