An embodiment of Superman in not your average Clark Kent

This is definitely one of the best Superman stories I have ever read. What makes that even more incredible is that this story centers around a boy named Clark Kent but not the Clark Kent you are thinking of. The story exists in a world like our own where Superman is just a fictional character. The story centers around a boy named Clark Kent after Superman, obviously, and he grows up resentful of the name because bullies pick on him that is until he discovers he has the powers of Superman. Clark must conceal his identity, take on the responsibility of Superman, deal with the government, and discover where his powers came from. While doing this the story tries to answer what its like being Superman. A job I feel it does fantastically. Many complain that Superman is unrelatable because he has so many powers and how could anyone relate to him. Clearly they haven't read this story because this is probably the most human Ive seen a superhero be despite having all of Superman's powers and none of the weeknesses. The story chronicles Clark's life from a teen to his adult life showing him be like an average person only with the difficulties of being a superhero. One thing I really loved about this was that it presents a Superman story in a realistic world without cutting out the warmth and optimism. It feels very human and emotional and just seems to be a perfect story for the Man of Tomorrow. I actually teared up at the end, but not because the ending was so sad. I teared up because it was so optimistic and so happy that I couldnt help but have tears of joy in that he had fulfilled his life. The art was one of a kind just like this story and it very beautiful and grand in areas. If you havent read this story, you need to read it because it is so great. Even if you arent a fan of Superman you should at least give this one a shot. I cant recomend this comic enough.
