    The new Superman crossover event "Brainiac and The Legion of Super-Heroes" begins here, in this first issue of a 3-part miniseries! It's New Krypton's worst nightmare as Brainiac attacks the planet, determined to recapture the city of Kandor! But General Zod has been waiting for this moment since Brainiac first attacked Old Krypton – he has a plan to save his people, but at the cost of Earth and the future as we know it! So it's up to Superman, Supergirl, Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes to stop the two madmen before they destroy everything!

    Superman: Last Stand of New Krypton #1 0

     Here we are - at the middle of war. James Robinson & Supergirl's Sterling Gates brought to us an extraordinary comic book this week. Following the events of Superman: The World of New Krypton #12, Brainiac attacked the entire city of Kandor.   The issue begins with General Zod's monologue about his only defeat and smoothly transfers to the city streets where a desperate battle gains momentum. There we can see Kal-El & his Red Shard in action, battling against Brainiac's robots. And then...

    Things are about to get crazy. If you haven't been reading Superman, now is the time to start.  The Good:We're finally seeing the showdown we've been waiting for. Brainiac is attacking New Krypton and this will be a job for...a bunch of super people. With James Robinson and Sterling Gates writing, we know we're in safe hands. This is going to be a great trip.     An event 2 years in the making... 0

     Two years in the making and this issue was great!  The much maligned James Robinson and the up and coming Sterling Gates spin a fast paced Return of Superman story.  Big Blue is back!!   "THIS IS A JOB FOR SUPERMAN" That simple statement is truely one of the great geek moments of the week for me. The last year in the Superman Family of books we have seen the characters that are going to play a major role in this and War of the Supermen stories put in place.  James Robinson's deft hand in develo...
