For the first time, Superman and Batman learn each other's secret identities when they meet on a cruise while trying to find a diamond thief.

    1. "The Mightiest Team in the World!" (Superman, Batman, Robin, Lois Lane and James Gordon) written by Edmond Hamilton, penciled by Curt Swan and inked by John Fischetti. Both Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne book a vacation cruise on a crowded ocean liner and end up sharing a cabin. But when a crime occurs prior to departure, the two discover each others true identities. When it is obvious that the criminal is somewhere aboard the ship, the two crime fighters book passage on the liner as Batman and Superman as well. Unfortunately Lois, who also witnessed the crime, books passage on the cruise too, and Batman and Superman have their hands full trying to uncover the mystery while protecting their secret identities!
    2. "The Misfit Manhunter" (Superman) written by Bill Finger.
    3. "The Gatling Gun" full text story by Ben Galloway.
    4. "Mrs. Superman" (Superman) written by Bill Woolfolk.

    Notes:

    • This first story is the first Superman/Batman team-up in comics.
    • Dick Grayson states that he has relatives upstate that he plans on visiting while Bruce Wayne goes on a cruise.
