    A very poor issue 2

The Good   Superman appeared at the end of the issue.  The Bad  First of all, what a crappy cover, kind of a good idea but poorly executed. Then the drawing, it was really cheap, so cheap in fact that it drew my attention from the story sometimes.  I really hope whoever did this is no drawing anything until he learns some perspective. Now the story could have been a great turning point in Lois and Clark's life. I felt that this could have been a good starting point for Lois to question her role ...

    Into the Ground 0

I have not been enjoying this arc. I don't want to be negative, but it doesn't feel like Superman, at all. It feels like...someone else. So far the issues have felt contrived and really, I dunno, not boring, but something is missing. Very much like Wonder Woman. There's something that is usually there but isn't. It sort of feels like a paint by numbers exercise.  This issue was supposed to be a heartfelt journey into what if with Lois' old friend/boyfriend popping up with a wife, and a normal li...

    Lois Gets Grounded 0

If you've read DC for as long as I have, you come to understand these fill-in issues are an inevitable evil. Far too many "top shelf" creators fall behind on their deadlines and DC relies too much on Batman and Superman to go a month without publishing their titles, so sometimes you have to deal with fill-in issues by "lesser" creators breaking up your story arcs. Superman #704 is one of those issues, and it could've been worse. First off, I like how this issue at least attempts to fit in with J...

    Unhorrible...but close 0

as ive stated in my blog (a day) i haven't been really feeling the current storyline for superman.  i find that it seems to be lacking in...well a point. and nothing has really changed in this issue. in fact it might be worse here as this is an "interlude" to the story arc.    Basically the storyline is about Lois lane meeting with a family and thinking about what a life without superman or at least a powerless one. its an actionless issue so don't expect any crazy drunk hick fighting like in th...

Superman #704: The Road That "Can't" Be Paved 0

Writer G. Willow Wilson and newcomer artist Leandro Oliveira take on a "Grounded" interlude issue. When Lois Lane takes a trip back to the town that she went to college (years ago) to, she runs into many Superman fans that are ready to see him walk through Rushmark! As fans prepare for Superman's arrival, Lois runs into a old boyfriend that has a nice and normal family. While Lois thinks about the choices she's made throughout her life and wonders if they were the correct ones! As Lois goes...

Good or Bad? You decide. 0

Just want to get one thing out of the way first. I don't read Superman monthly. Actually, I don't read Superman. I like JMS, just not that much. G Willow Wilson and leandro Oliveira step in for a fill in, and I picked this up just because everyone said it was so bad. it was okay.  The story The story focuses on Lois Lane, who wants to get back to her old life. She thinks about Superman, and runs into her old boyfriend, Brian. He's gotten married, had kids, and they reminnisce a bit. Lois then ru...
