    "THE REDEMPTION OF LARRY TRENT!" Superman saves the former heavyweight boxing champion of the world from committing suicide.

    1. Superman, The Man of Tomorrow! -- Superman saves the former heavyweight boxing champion of the world from committing suicide. When Superman learns that Larry Trent was drugged by his former manager to lose the title bout, the Man of Tomorrow disguises himself as Trent and slugs his way back to the title match, in which Trent himself steps in and wins.
    2. Superman Champions Universal Peace! -- Daily Star Editor George Taylor sends Clark Kent to interview a scientist who's developed a deadly gas, but no sooner than the interview concludes, Superman overhears war profiteers threaten the scientist for the formula.

Superman impersonates the boxer (Larry Trent) and eventually helps Larry regain his title and expose the men who took advantage of him.Sports corruption must have been a prominent concern in the late 1930s; just last issue, Superman pulled the same trick, disguising himself as college football player ...
