Superior Team Up is back on track...
"Superior Spider-Man Team-Up" has been laying low, with the Infinity tie-ins,but it regained it's quality quickly, when the regular creative team came back(Christopher Yost - Marco Checchetto),with a ,non-the-less, interesting story.
The SUPERIOR Spider-Man has recruited most of the Sinister Six villians,to fight crime along side him, starting from the last issue.Of cource he uses a kind of mind-control,since the people he chose to fight crime along side him are,you know.....villians!
But,the book uses the latest tactic that started in the "main" book, and that is:Ock is starting to slip......and something(really big) goes wrong.
I liked the "Avenging Spider-Man" book, more, that the main one ,written by writer Dan Slott, because Yost gave SpOck the human aspect that we liked. He used his dialog that way,so we could like the character more.....like it was another Ock....different from the one in the "main" book.
And this still continues. The difference between the Spider-Men is present, and i couldnt ignore it.It gives you the feeling that the writing of the character is different.
The plot is quite simple, and for the first time it resembles a Spider-Man story one..... "something goes right, just so something can go really wrong".
Chris Yost said that "this is the fun book" and we could accept this quote as it is,but with a subtitle...."This is the fun book....and that means lots of action, but no impact on SpOcks life in the Superior Spider-Man main book" ....Really.The guy fights the Masters of Evil, with his allies the sinister six,and by the end of the issue,he has lost the mind control he had over them, and they turn against him.And i bet whatever you want, that this wont be even mentioned in the Superior Spider-Man book......never.It's two different books, with stuff happening in them, that have impact only fot the books itselves.Slott is doing his thing, and Yost is doing his.Not even a cross-over event!
In the main book Ock is punching Felicia Hardy in the face, getting his doctorate,by appearing in his proffessor's office, with a holographic version of himself, and flirting with his adorable girlfriend ,Anna Maria Marconi, while in this book he has,the most dangerous criminals on the planet, imprisoned,in his supervillian, headquarters, and he's forcing them to slavery,in fighting beside him.
But anyway, the writing is excellent ,as always, the plot is "action-fight-tence dialog-fight" which is forgivable, for a secondary book like this. And the story ends with the promise of a big,and difficult, fight for Ock.The books have finally something in common.....Ock is presented with difficulties in both of them.

I recommend this issue. It's fun, different and well written.
