Training
This second issue is about discovery, it´s about being marveled to find out that you have super powers, but what are they extent? What can I do? Can I fly, do I have X ray vision, super strength? Simon will find that out with the help of his best friend Chris - the narrative dynamics that Millar created in this issue is awesome, so cool to read, very entertaining, also I really enjoyed the dialogues a lot, especially the remark about "Big" (a Tom Hanks movie), in fact that is where Millar really distiguishes from other writers, the fact that he can blend in so well in other mediums, the fact that he has so much modern and pop culture, that really makes him stand out from the others - the best thing about this issue, though, was Leinil´s art: I really loved how he pictured (or penciled after Miller´s coaching) the tests, the frames of each page, the panels, really outstanding art - unfortunately I don´t understand why the change of the colorist, I´m not a big fan of Sunny Gho´s art, I think it´s too bright, so this was the bad part - highly recommended, a solid and fun issue!
