This movie was released on both a one disk DVD and a 2 Disk limited Edition DVD. The 2 disk limited edition is very rare and features a 'Director's cut' of the movie which extends the story by 20 minutes. It features new score and limited new special effects and editing.

Notable new scenes in the Director's cut include a longer introduction to Argo and its culture which highlights the advanced intellect of the society as well as longer roles for Alura and Zor-El. We are also shown the relationship between Selena and Nigel in more detail.
