Why does Conner push everyone away?

    Cover

The cover art I personally think is better than the art inside the comic and I wish this was how the inside art was because I am really hating the inside heart.

    Story

A superhero from the future comes to get help from Superboy that way the superhero named Psionic Lad could save his time. We find out the reason that Lori was not affected by Psionic Lad’s powers was because she has the potential to be psychic. Conner brings Psionic Lad to his home and invites him to stay at the Kent Farm for as long as he would be at the present time period. Superboy goes to talk to Lori and says that it would be better off if they kept their distance. When Psionic is alone in his room he gets a call and he confirms that he is going to KILL Superboy.

    Best Part

I love that Lori has some great potential stories with her maybe having the potential of getting powers. That would be a great help for Superboy but it might also give her more difficulty in her life to adjust to.

    Worst Part

The one thing that has annoying me for a while is that Conner says he wants to have a normal life and a normal life means to make connection with people he says that they just go apart. Here are some examples Simon was just becoming one of the best friends Conner ever had then last issue he tells him that they have to be apart for awhile. That one was understandable that way no one would figure out his identity. Next was in this issue were he pushed Lori away. Right where they could become friends and become close he pushes her way. If he did not push her away then Him, Simon, and Lori could have had a Scooby Gang like in Buffy. After I read this I gave Conner the benefit of the doubt. But right when Cassie’s and Conner’s relationship was getting out of there rocky status in the last issue of Teen Titans he breaks up with her. Because he believes he wants a normal life. So the point of this whole big rant is that if he wants to have a normal life why is he trying to pull every one away from him right where they were becoming friends.

    Art

I am not a fan of the art in this series.  I thought after a couple of issues it would grow on me but I still hate it. Some people look okay like Lori but Conner looks really bad. His face is weird. Well I am just hoping we get a new artist for this series soon.

The first thing I must address is thank  God the thought bubbles are gone.  I was getting scared for a moment.  The fact the new kid in town Psionic Lad has a thought bubble as a logo I was thinking DC is taking an old school approach to these books, and I don't like it.  It looks like only the few white cover books and or the "March" books had the thought Bubbles.  The major complaint with this series is the jumping around in narrative perspective.  This issue is a lot easier to follow then the...

      The future can't be that bad...right? 0

Synopsis: Why has Psionic Lad shown up to the present? What's Good? I'm glad that Jeff Lemire touches back on previous events like the mysterious farmers, and he does a nice job doing so by adding in Psionic Lad. I'm not really a huge fan of people from the future coming to the present kind of story lines, but I'll make this a slight exception. Psionic Lad's future is a bit clique with the whole dark times angle, but this too I can forgive just because  the end of this issue I did not expect. ...
